Portland Community Gardens offers free weekly gardening classes at three community gardens around Portland, as well as one weeklong day camp this summer. Classes begin first week of May (see details below) and run through the end of October--students are welcome to join at any time.

The program is designed to teach organic gardening for children ages 6-12 in a manner that is interdisciplinary, experiential, and fun. Students will learn to grow, harvest, and prepare their own food and will engage in scientific and creative activities in the garden. We also feature field trips and guest educators.
